Exploring Fear is on a mission. We want to offer you alternative ways to define and perceive fear. To help you shift your relationship with fear.
Why?
We believe that shifting how you perceive fear alters how you respond to it. Never feeling a sense of fear isn’t the goal, responding to the feeling in a healthy way is.
How is fear holding you back from the life you want?
Fear can manifest itself in such small ways you may have started to believe ‘this is just who I am’. Do you find yourself staying quiet, not fully expressing yourself, saying no to exciting opportunities or missing out on things you wish you could do? Have anxiety, stress, phobias, panic or insecurities become a regular part of your life? Maybe your experience of fear is more subtle; avoiding deep and intimate relationships, repeatedly procrastinating certain tasks, not taking the next big step in your business or life.
Feeling frozen by panic, stuck in a life you resent or unable to take a needed leap to move your life forward can be a disempowering feeling. That’s what unrecognised fear does. It keeps you stuck. It holds you back. Built up over the years and undealt with, it manifests as anxiety, health issues, chronic stress, failed relationships, phobias and more. Life begins to shrink around you, feeling grey, boring and monotonous. Other people’s ‘normal’ starts to become your ‘impossible’.
But there’s a way out. A way doesn't rely on you having to feel ‘strong’ or ‘confident’ to see positive change. We believe that simply shifting your relationship with fear is enough to change your life for the better. This relationship doesn't require you to ’fight’ and ‘conquer’ fear to be successful but sees fear as an emotion to explore and befriend.
Exploring Fear takes a fresh and mindful approach to fear. We replace ‘overcoming and beating fear’ with ‘curiosity about fear’. When you are curious about your fear, it helps you face it with a lightness that makes it far more approachable. Recognising how fear plays out in your life is the first and greatest step you can take towards creating the life you want.
This isn’t about beating fear, it’s about befriending it. Using this framework, you’ll live life from a place of autonomy and agency, not fear. We’re here to give you the encouragement you need, to find the courage you inherently have.
